About Chebera Churchura National Park
Chebera Churchura covers 1,250 km² of savanna, riverine forest and tropical woodland in south-west Ethiopia. One of Ethiopia's least-visited parks — access requires a 10-hour drive from Addis. Protects an estimated 450–500 African elephants (one of the country's largest intact herds), 4,000–5,000 buffalo, plus leopard, hippo and over 237 bird species. For true off-grid wildlife travel.
