About Shaba National Reserve

Shaba is the most scenic of the Samburu-region trio: volcanic hills, the Ewaso Ng'iro river, and the doum-palm stands where Joy Adamson (of Elsa the lioness / 'Born Free' fame) spent her last years. Fewer vehicles than Samburu make this a photographer's choice.
