About Pangani
Pangani is a sleepy Swahili town 55 km south of Tanga, where the Pangani River meets the Indian Ocean. Mangrove boat tours, ancient slave-trade ruins, dhow-building workshops, and some of Tanzania's most unspoiled beaches (Ushongo Beach stretches 8 km with barely a building).
