Today the park shelters giraffes, buffalo, hippos, bushbuck, vervet monkeys and a vibrant array of coastal birdlife, and its famous giraffe feeding platform brings you face to face with these gentle giants at eye level — a highlight that delights all ages. Morning transfers take you to Haller Park on Mombasa's northern outskirts — a remarkable ecological rehabilitation project that has transformed a barren cement-quarry into a thriving forest habitat over five decades. Walk the shaded woodland trails encountering Rothschild's giraffes at the famous feeding platform, a resident hippo pool, buffalo, bushbuck, waterbuck, monitor lizards and a colourful diversity of coastal forest birds including the striking crowned hornbill.
